Heute mal wieder ein kurzer Blog - Thema: KNX to MQTT.

Meine Hausautomasierung läuft ja auf KNX (Grund: stabiler Industriestandard, wenn auch etwas teurer) mittlerweile hat sich aber MQTT für IOT Geräte als Kommunikationsstandart etabliert. Im Zuge der Erstellung meiner neuen Batterieanlage hat sich gezeigt, dass MQTT ein gutes Mittel zum Datenausstausch ist. Von daher habe ich mich jetzt auch mal dran gemacht.

Basis für die Implementierung ist das Paket von https://github.com/pakerfeldt/knx-mqtt-bridge. Ich habe das geforkt und werde Kleinigkeiten anpassen. Zielplattform Docker unter Linux. etwas anderes werde ich nicht supporten oder beschreiben. Meinen Fork findet Ihr unter: https://github.com/endurance1968/knx-mqtt-bridge

Remove the top screw and the one on the side which holds the cable



 

The press the notches on the connector and remove the cable



 

From the bottom remove the left screw and the screws for the fan duct.

THe fan duct can be then slided out - then remove the right screw.

Now the extruder can be remove from the top. To reach the belt holder.

It should look like this

 

The "good" version with a removable belt holder and the

BAD version where the belts are glued onto the carriage.

In case of the bad version you can remove the belts only destroying them Heat it up a bit and use force

The good version can be loosend reving the screws from the bottom:

  

Done ready to mount another carriage like the Ikarus.

Intro

This is still based on Version I - main difference for mounting is the belt clip. It will be delivered mounted to the carriage so you have to remove it and put it onto you belt. Fasten it to your carriage after you mounted the carriage on the rods.

Intro

In case you mounted a Chad or Herkules Mod on your printer and used my instructions how to assemble them you might face the fact that for security reasons the volumes are approximately 1cm less in each direction then they could be.

For example I typically use the following for a X-Plus

to be on the safe side.

Using those values you define where the printhead/nozzle will be positioned at the start of the print (position front,top, left) - see picture below.

In case you would choose to high x value the head mitght crash into your left enclosure, Z too high the head will crash into your bed, y too high the head will crash into you front enclosure. So please take care go slow and measure first before you change

Changing bed leveling spots

This is very simple via the following commands (examples)

just change the X or Y values to your needs and save the config. To get an idea of the right positions you can read the current ones from the config dump (search for the lines starting with M8036) and adap with x or y offsett to move to your wanted one.

Note: The same M code seems to be correct also in the config dump it is just a sequence of M8036 commands.

Extruder Kalibrierung

Im folgenden eine einfache Prozedur um Euren Extruder zu kalibrieren. Idealerweise (Theorie) macht man dies ohne eine Düse montiert zu haben. Es geht schließlich darum wieviel Filament der Extruder vorschiebt, nicht darum wie lang unten der Faden aus der Düse kommt. Ohne Düse -> weniger Gegendruck, welcher potentiell (wenn auch gering) das Ergebnis verfälscht. In der Praxis eher schwierig umzusetzen - also entweder eine möglichst große Düse dran lassen oder wenn nicht vorhanden mit der Abweichung leben.

• Achtet drauf, das Ihr den richten eStep startwert nimmt (eStep unterscheiden sich von Extruder zu Extruder abhängig von der Mechanik)

PID Tuning using the Qidi 3D Printer

Important note 2022-04-07:
Seems Qidi has broken the Autotune in 4.2.14.x Firmware (assumption due to observation and customer reports) - so be careful doing the PID autotune at least backup (as always) your current config. See also my thread PID Tuning testing PID tuning with the MAX. Conclusion take stock values do not execute the PID tuning.

Using a terminal like Octoprint

just type:

where you replace the S220 with your wanted targettemp. If done and everything works as expected save the config using.

If you use part cooling please use it while PID tuning as well. Same for the heatblock socks. The U at the end tells the printer to immediately use the result.

As the Qidi X-Plus and X-Max is regulalry suffereing a clogged nozzle/ the extruder gears are no longer able to transport the filament there are several modifications out there to improve this. Config Backup of your Qidi

Please do a config backup as first step always before you change anything on your printer. You can open and look at the config using a simple editor like notepad++.

The backup might be very helpful later on in case you need to know which values were set at the time you took the backup.

To do so run the following as gcode on your qidi. Details will follow below:
