Yeah doing one in eSUN ABS+ now.
Update 07:47: Test on the rails - far better than previous version - it slides again OK printed in ASA so not 100% comparable. But looks like worth to be printed again in stiffer PC again.
Job for next night - as printer is currently busy.
humebeam hope your print fits as well?
Yup fits perfectly despite printed with a 0.8 mm nozzle
I'll mount the parts and see how it performs.
I was afraid the bearing holders could be a bit too loose, it's firm here but 0.8 mm nozzle and 0.3 mm layer height so not optimal, will reprint with my recommended settings but it will take all day hehe.
Would you think it would be better with a clearance of 19.20 mm on the diameter instead? Version 1.4 had 19.10 mm and 1.5 has 19.25 mm.
Excellent news Olaf, thanks a lot!
humebeam not sure if you read FB Messenger therefor short questions also here:
Is this wide angle by intention? Sliding in the flat cable is a bit difficult. At least with my fans there would be still lots of space to get closer to the main body.
And I am struggling a bit to detach the flat cable as I cannot press the bottom latch since the carriange body blocks accessing it
as consequence the complete PCB needs to be move out which might be limited option due to cable length. Anything I overlooked?
Yes it's intented. It's to angle the ribbon cable upwards so it doesn't dip down as easily on the printbed, I use a similar system on a few other designs.
On this design it makes connecting and disconnecting the ribbon cable a little cumbersome but it's pretty easy once you get a hang of it, you don't need to remove the PCB.
I could move the PCB a few mm towards the bracket so it's easier to reach the bottom latch.

Might be a good idea, at least if there is no other drawback related to this.

Not sure yet, will find out.
Okrúhly prsteň s květinovým vzorem.
Which is more convenient for you. I will buy prints or a complete set.

I opened a private chat ...
Sorry nonsense

Current:
New:
- Ribbon bracket moved all way to the edge of the carriage
- Ribbon bracket reduced width by a few mm
- Ribbon bracket moved a few mm closer to blower fan
- PCB holder moved 5 mm closer to ribbon bracket
- Cutout for bottom ribbon cable latch access
Here's a quick render. If it looks good I'll upload tomorrow morning.
I would try this - you can drop me the STL for testing if you like before you publish it
