Icarus 1.2.0 is released. I have also updated the BOM for both Hercules and Icarus.

Just one small pointer: Your fan duct is not centered around the nozzle. It likely won't make a very big difference as the air ducts are still angled correctly but you also have to ensure the duct from the blower fan (through the carriage) is moved so it matches with the intake of the fan duct.
Also, version 1.3 of the Icarus fan duct is coming this weekend, it's mostly for easier printability, performance is the same as the current 1.2.

Or as bad depending on Material and cooling.
Overall I had two (low number, which is good) cases where people were struggling as filament got stuck after a while. Which might a combination of cooler 4010 and lower torque stepper (0.9). In both cases the stepper was not able to push filament forward. As Icarus is using also a 4010 fan and same hotend it would be interesting to get some feedback on reliabilty on PLA and PETG wich I see more critical especially on the HB cooling.
4020 fan is recommended for Hercules, the distance for the airflow is much longer. I've not had any issues with a Sunon Maglev 4020.
It could also be a little low printing temp but unlikely if it happens later in a print. Or too low tension on the BMG lever. Or a glitch in the ribbon connector or thermocouple. But my money is on the fan.

I've only done a few TPU test prints at 60 mm/s, no issues. Not tried PETG yet, would assume it works just as good as Hercules.

Looks like different cablemanagement at PCB and now straight flatcable holder.
The look of the material I really like let's see when Prusa has it again.
Yes I had to do that change to make it print without supports. Cable tie instead

Here's another view.

1.2.0a printed in Prusa PC-CF, I've made a few minor changes since. Prints without supports.

Damn, you´re right.
All connectors are OK but the Motor connector.Disappointing .
Not so easy to solve.
One possibiity is to move the Holder 12-15 mm towards the Cable Bracket.
Other opportunity would be to install it at the front end side (like the original)
Since i don´t use the Dial Gauge Holder anyway, it´s worth a try...
Yes, i mentioned it before.
But i´m not too concerned.
It´s more dangerous as long the Carriage is not mounted, yes, but as soon as it is clicked on the rails, there will not be a difference.
The Linear Guides give the ridgity, not the carriage.Yes if you want to move the PCB and don't want to use a dial indicator, in front would be a better placement, just make sure it doesn't hit the frame.
Keep up the good work, nice to see someone using the step files, great to see a different point of view too.

Depends how to dicussion will continue.... let's continue here first.
I would also turn the cable holder to avoid an 90degree bend of the cable - but maybe needs some real testing.
Looks nice
Yes I never use the unload filament function, I always feed in new from above.

Also, its structure will be significally weaker with this 4020 mount. Not saying it won't be strong enough but I would advise against it.

Sooooo.
Maybe i should open a new Thread, but i will leave the descission to Olaf.
The first Version of Tw*eacarus is about to go online.
This Tweak of the Icarus is espacialy for those people which want to keep the 4020 Fan for Noise reduction and power.
So i moved the PCB Holder to the backside of the Part Cooler and opened the Frame do get space for the Hotend Fan.
Also i changed the Wire-holder according to humebeame´s latest gadget.
What you see at once is that the Frame is open at one side, so now the Fan is part of the strenght .
This means to be carefull after printing not to breake it, additional in my opinion it is neccessary to mount the full extruder before clamp it on the linear guides. But then the guides keep it rigid.
It is not printed by me yet, so i don´t know the effect on weight, but i don´t think it´s a lot.
Let´s hear your opinions.
Interesting
According to my earlier calculations I believe the Orbiter extruder will hit the PCB.
Version 1.2 is almost complete. It prints entirely without supports now, a few other fixes too.

Nice! Thanks for your donation btw, very kind of you.

Looking awesome Olaf

Icarus Fan Duct version 1.2 released. Also, I've added a Mosquito hotend mount. Read more here:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4906011
It's compatible with vonwange's DIY hotend which is a Mosquito clone if you want to save some money over Dragon and certainly over genuine Mosquito, the latter is way overpriced IMO.
Edit: Small bug fix, moved the version text a little.

Can you do a fire test with it - and I would also be intrested where to get it if it is flame retardend. Just lighten a piece of filament with a torch and check if it stopps burning itself or if it continous... The Priline looks nice easy to print but is to weak for a fan duct. The Polymax FR is good and seems to work longterm but I like matt finish more.
It's printing now, will test later
Had a printed test piece. Took a few tries to get it burning properly but then it burns continuos so it's not fully flame retardent.

I was right in the process of printing my PC version of the Icarus.. but now I rather wait for the upgraded fanduct... 🥳 Where did you geht the Prusament PC CF from? On prusa's site it's always out of stock 😭
Yup got it from Prusa's shop, it's always out of stock so you must sign up for the notification and when you get the back in stock notice order within the hour else it is gone again. I bought two spools.

Here's 1.2 printed in the new Prusament PC CF Blend at 290 / 110 C.
Will strengthen it a little on the frame before posting, it has quite thin walls for maximum flow. New version should be up by tonight hopefully.

Version 1.2 in testing. My overhangs test in four directions 65-75 degrees used.

[user = '150'] humebeam [/ user] one question .. is there a series of X-Max'es without screw holes? I didn't find a location to mount your cable holder .. 🤷🏻♂️
That's the downside of a chinese printer. They change hardware revisions constantly for no appearing reason. My printer is a little older most likely.
If you want to use it, which I think is a good idea, you can mark and drill two small holes (2.5 mm drill), remove the rear panel to ensure you hit nothing.
